About the Department
Land is very crucial for Mining operation and the Land & Revenue Department at WCL Hq is a key administrative department responsible for land management by its acquisition, determination of fair land compensation and facilitating rehabilitation & resettlement to project affected persons/ families in transparent manner. It also facilitates to resolve land disputes through fair and lawful means and support in planning and development through land data.

General Manager (Min)
Shri Sachinkumar Patil, a BE (Mining) graduate, joined Coal India Limited on 28th August 1989. Over the course of his career, he has worked in the Land & Revenue Departments of various Areas, gained valuable experience in the Vigilance Department, and contributed extensively to mining operations as General Manager (Operation). He assumed charge as Head of Department on 1st October 2024.
